Parental Bereavement Leave (PBL) Implementation
As of April 14, 2023, the new PBL pay codes became available for use with the 23.01 FPPS and Quicktime releases. For those agencies that utilized the interim solution, we are requesting that agencies submit amended T&As changing the pay code 060 to the applicable PBL pay code(s).

Early Submission and Calculate of Time and Attendance (T&A) Files for Pay Period (PP) 2023-14
Independence Day holiday, July 4, 2023, falls at a critical time in the payroll processing cycle for PP 2023-14. To ensure T&A files are included and processed for PP 2023-14 as a result of the holiday, all pay groups are required to submit amended and current T&A files to the Interior Business Center (IBC) early.

On May 2, 2023, the Payroll Users Manual Version 6.3, the Casual Payroll Users Manual Version 4.8, the Client Interface Guide Version 5.15, the Payroll Accounting Guide Version 5.14, and the Time and Attendance Guide Version 4.13 were updated on our website with the April 2023 release information.

Tax Change Implemented Pay Period (PP) 2023-10: MD, MI, and WV
Please share this information with all impacted employees. The following tax changes were implemented in PP 2023-10. As a result, employees may see a change in their tax withholdings. As a reminder, tax changes are not retroactive to employees’ withholding.
