For our IBC customers, the Payroll Operations Division is offering three Federal Personnel and Payroll System (FPPS) virtual trainings (seminars) at no cost:
- Payroll Leave and Operational Procedures (PLOP)
- Payroll Master Update (PUT)
- Leave Share
The sign-up for these trainings closes on July 10, 2026. The trainings have limited space, as outlined in the Registration Information section below.
Each training consists of a morning and an afternoon session (each session is 2-3 hours in duration), with a one-hour break in between to allow time for lunch.
FPPS Payroll Leave and Operational Procedures (PLOP) Virtual Training
Date: Monday, August 3, 2026
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET / 8:30 – 3:00 p.m. MT
Description
This virtual training provides an overview of timekeeper procedures. Topics covered during the virtual training include rules and regulations related to pay and leave procedures, work schedules, hazard pay, and FPPS pay codes. Attendees will learn Time & Attendance (T&A) preparation, amendments to the T&A, and navigating the T&A process in FPPS using applicable commands.
Target Audience
This virtual training is appropriate for supervisors and timekeepers involved in the T&A process.
FPPS Payroll Master Update (PUT) Virtual Training
Date: Tuesday, August 4, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET / 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. MT
Description
This virtual training provides an overview of the FPPS commands used to initiate and maintain payroll transactions within an employee's payroll master record. The FPPS menu options that will be covered are: Employee/Position Maintenance, Special Pay Maintenance, and View Pay Detail. Attendees will practice inputting changes to an employee's address, taxes, entitlements, and voluntary deduction records.
Target Audience
This virtual training is appropriate for Human Resources personnel, supervisors, and personnel responsible for payroll master record input and changes.
FPPS Leave Share Virtual Training
Date: Thursday, August 6, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. ET / 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. MT
Description
This virtual training provides an overview of the FPPS commands used to initiate and maintain payroll transactions for the leave share program. The training includes an overview of how to initiate and maintain leave share recipient and donor records in FPPS. It will also cover how to interpret leave share information in the employee leave views in FPPS and on the Earnings and Leave Statement.
Target Audience
This virtual training is appropriate for Human Resources personnel, supervisors, and personnel responsible for payroll master record input and changes.
Registration Information
PLOP virtual training is limited to 150 registrants.
PUT and Leave Share virtual trainings are both limited to 16 registrants.
Additional sessions for the PUT and Leave Share trainings may be added as needed, based on the number of registrants on the waitlist. Individuals on the waitlist for PUT and Leave Share will be contacted by email no later than July 13, 2026, with information about any additional training dates being offered. Sign-ups for these additional sessions will be available in HR Academy at that time on a first-come, first-served basis.

Registration and Enrollments Process:
- Once you are logged in to HR Academy, click on the “Payroll Courses” icon in the “Featured Links” section.
- In the search bar, type the name of the webinar you wish to attend and press enter or click on the magnifying glass icon.
- In your search results, select the correct webinar and click “Go to course.” On the next page, choose the date and time you wish to attend and click “Go to event.” Finally, ensure the “Receive confirmation by” drop down menu has “Email with iCalendar appointment” selected and click “Sign-up.”
Confirmation Process:
Once your registration is complete, you will receive two separate emails. The first will confirm your enrollment in the webinar, and the second will include the meeting details, a link to join the session, and an option to add the event to your calendar.
Notification Process:
You will receive an additional email reminder two days prior to the live webinar.
