2023 Fiscal Year (FY) End Processing – Casual Hires

MEMORANDUM

DATE: August 12, 2023
TO: Casual Hires – Federal Personnel and Payroll System User Group Representatives and Client Accounting Office Contacts
FROM: Christine Zertuche-Rocha, Chief, Payroll Operations Division
SUBJECT: 2023 Fiscal Year (FY) End Processing – Casual Hires

For the 2023 FY end processing there is no cutoff and payments will be processed through September 30, 2023. In pay period (PP) 2023-21, the Federal Personnel and Pay System (FPPS) will produce a split Labor Cost file for the current FY year. This Labor Cost file will contain payroll costs for September 28-30, 2023, and will use the normal naming convention at the end of the file name. Payroll costs that appear on the current year Labor Cost file could include pay codes not related to a specific day such as Travel Reimbursement (TRV). The Labor Cost file for the new FY will contain the cost for October 1-11, 2023, and will use a different naming convention, which is “NEW.FY” at the end of the file name. Both files will be available following the calculate process for PP 2023-21. For each client, there will be only one FPPS Summary Reconciliation Report available in Datamart, which will contain the total charge for PP 2023-21.
