Effective September 27, 2025, and in compliance with OPM’s Merit Hiring Plan requirements, USAJOBS will only accept resumes that are two pages or less.
To support this transition, OPM has provided the following guidance:

- Agency Guidance on the Two-Page Limit on Resume Length
Key Points to Note:
- Employees do not need to submit an updated resume to HR for the purpose of updating eOPF.
- The two-page resume limit only applies when you are applying to a federal job announcement through USAJOBS.
- USAJOBS will not allow you to upload or build resumes longer than two pages.
- You must update the resumes in your USAJOBS profile before applying to any federal job.
- All USAJOBS announcements will include language referencing the new two-page resume requirement.
