As of May 4, 2025, the IBC’s Security and Drug & Alcohol Testing Division was realigned from the IBC to the Department’s Office of Law Enforcement and Security (OLES).

The National Security Division within OLES will oversee personnel security and drug & alcohol testing support. Resources for our customers will remain on IBC’s Customer Central website until further notice.

IBC Collection Site Updated Status - March 2022

The IBC Collection Site has been closed since March 19, 2020, and donors should not report to 1849 C Street, NW in Washington, DC. 

The Interior Business Center (IBC) continues to work with several entities planning for a safe reopening. IBC expects to open the Collection Site to all customers in the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2022.

If you have DC-based donors that need to be tested, you can deploy supplies and direct your donors to the other collection sites located in Washington, DC.

If you need assistance with that process, IBC staff is available to help. 

Please email the Drug & Alcohol Testing Branch staff at IBCDrugTestingStaff@ibc.doi.gov to assist with scheduling and other matters.
