Updating Employee information in Employee Express
Once you have input your information into Employee Express, it is very important that you remember to review and update the information periodically.
To review and update your information, log in to Employee Express and use the links located on the two left-side menus, Personnel/Payroll and Miscellaneous.
We encourage all employees to keep the following information up to date:
Personnel/Payroll menu
Disability Update: Self-identification of disability status is essential for effective data collection and analysis of the federal government’s efforts. While self-identification is voluntary, your cooperation in providing accurate information is critical to these efforts. The information provided by each employee is kept in the strictest confidence. Please note if you have previously updated this information additional changes are not required.
Ethnicity and Race Indicator: Ethnicity and race information is required under the authority of 42 U.S.C. Section 2000e-16. Providing this information is voluntary and has no impact on your employment status. This information is used as necessary to plan for equal employment opportunity. If you have chosen not to provide this information, HR is tasked with conducting a verbal observation to make this determination which will likely result in inaccurate data. Please help us to provide accurate information for DOI. Please note if you have previously updated this information additional changes are not required.
Home Address: Your Home Address is normally your official mailing address of record for HR and payroll purposes. IBC uses this address for mailing items to you such as the Form W-2, Employee Benefit Statements, Thrift Savings Plan Statements, and Leave and Earnings Statements.
W-2 Hard Copy On/Off: If you still have a hard copy of your Form W-2 sent to you by mail, please consider electing the Electronic W-2 for 2025. Employee Express allows active employees to access their Form W-2 electronically.
If you would like to change your election from a printed and mailed hard copy to an electronic version, follow these three easy steps:
- Log in to Employee Express
- Click on W-2 Hard Copy On/Off link on the left-side Personnel/Payroll menu.
- Change your “W-2 Statement Hard Copy” to Off
If you would like to make the election for the electronic Form W-2 for the 2025 tax year, you must switch hard copy to off no later than December 24, 2025.
Miscellaneous menu
Emergency Contact Information: An employee may add or change emergency contact information, work information, primary contact, alternate contact, and alternate two contacts.
Follow these steps to review or add your emergency contact information into Employee Express:
- Log in to Employee Express
- Click on Emergency Contact Information link on the left-side Miscellaneous menu.
- Enter the information in all screens that are applicable.
- Confirm your answers.
Click on the Save button.
