IBC Collection Site Update - June 2022

The Interior Business Center Collection Site will open to your agency’s donors on June 21, 2022.

Please be prepared for your donors to comply with the following:

  1. Check the CDC Community Level for Washington, DC before sending donors to identify which precautions are in place.
  2. If the Community Level is Medium or High, donors will be asked to show an OMB Vaccination Attestation Form and if required, a negative lab based COVID-19 test from the previous three days.
  3. Mask wearing is strongly encouraged in the Collection Room. Mask wearing is required in the Collection Room when Community Transmission Levels (for health care settings) is Substantial or High
  4. Donors with CDC-recognized COVID-19 symptoms are not permitted to enter the building or Collection Site.

 Additional new protocols include:

  1. New Collection Site hours: Tuesday-Thursday 7 a.m.-12 p.m. Do not direct donors to arrive after 12 p.m. or on Mondays or Fridays.
  2. Schedule tests in https://edrugtest.com as eCCF choosing the IBC Collection Room as the collection site. Provide your donor with the ePassport.
  3. Send only two donors per hour. New waiting room spacing, and cleaning protocols restrict the number of donors that can be processed per hour.
  4. Breath Alcohol Testing services will remain suspended.
  5. Donors will be asked during the collection process to flip up their mask to ensure no items are concealed that could affect the collection.
  6. Donors who refuse to comply with collector directions or safety protocols will, if possible, be redirected to a local collection site.

If you have DC-based donors that need to be tested that exceed IBC’s capacity, you can deploy supplies and direct your donors to the other collection sites located in Washington, DC.

Please send an email message to the Drug & Alcohol Testing Branch staff at IBCDrugTestingStaff@ibc.doi.gov for assistance with scheduling and other matters.
