Experiences and Qualifications

Employees in the Acquisition Audit Services Branch have a wide range of audit experiences that includes contract audits, financials, and Inspector General type of performance audits.

The majority of employees have an average of more than 20 years of combined audit experiences that provided them with technical knowledge and expertise in conducting Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS) type of audit as well as practical application and interpretation of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Department of Energy Acquisition Regulation (DEAR), Federal Aviation Administration Acquisition Management System (FAA-AMS) and the Uniform Guidance (i.e., 2 CFR part 200).

Several employees have active certifications in public accounting (CPA) license and/or holds an advanced degree (e.g., master’s in business administration) as well as other professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) and certified fraud examiner (CFE) credential.
