Subject: IBC Executive Leadership Updates
IBC Customers,
I’m pleased to introduce myself as the new permanent Director of the Interior Business Center, after acting in this position since April 2025. It is an honor to lead our dedicated workforce of more than 700 professionals who work every day to provide high‑quality support services that enable you to stay focused on achieving your mission. Under my leadership, IBC will continue to deliver compliant, efficient, and reliable mission support services that you can depend on.
I bring more than three decades of public and military service, including time in the U.S. Marine Corps and several senior leadership roles across federal agencies. Most recently, I served as IBC’s Deputy Director, where I also acted as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer. Prior to joining IBC, I held senior positions at the Department of Energy, Internal Revenue Service, Army Information Technology Agency, and Department of Homeland Security, overseeing large‑scale IT, acquisition, and financial operations.
I would also like to share another update regarding IBC’s executive leadership team.
Jennifer Ackerman is joining IBC as our Deputy Director. We are thrilled to welcome her to the organization. She brings extensive leadership experience to IBC, most recently serving as the Director of the Office of Human Capital and Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer for the Department of the Interior. Her previous roles include Deputy Chief Human Capital Officer at the Peace Corps and Senior Manager at Deloitte, where she led projects including the Transportation Security Administration Personnel, Payroll, and Benefits Shared Service Center.
As IBC’s Deputy Director, she will provide executive leadership to further strengthen our efficient and effective operations across our shared service areas of assisted acquisition, financial management, and human resources/payroll.
